THE "FLEDA IMOLA" SYSTEM

The FLEDA IMOLA uses a modified "racing" version of the CARBONDRY Imola seat and tail cowling assembly with the addition of a FLEDA-NeX tail light and rear turn signal design. License plate bracket with illuminated frame is the "under FLEDA" version of the optional bracket and frame that is supplied with the FLEDA-NeX-SR and FLEDA-NeX-DR.
The stock MotoPlan Imola seat and tail cowling assembly uses the stock tail light and turn signals with special brackets to mount them. See attached image stock MotoPlan Imola seat and tail cowling assembly on a Sport 1000. Derek from Western Australia was the catalyst for the "racing" version of the MotoPlan Imola setup. Derek this setup in carbon fiber. I designed a FLEDA-NeX-DR (Dual Row) system for Derek's setup. The "racing" version shown in the attached images is made with fiber glass. It is very light for fIber glass weighing in at 2 kg (seat and cowling assembly). The stock seat and cowling is close to 3 kg. Don't ask... I forgot to weigh Derek's carbon fiber "racing" MotoPlan Imola setup. I am guessing it is at least a good 500 grams lighter... PLEASE NOTE: THE IMOLA SEAT AND REAR COWLING ASSEMBLY IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE IN CARBON FIBER. IT IS STILL AVAILABLE IN PAINTED OR UNPAINTED FIBER GLASS. UPDATED 12/05/08 |
