Cockpit Mounting System from THE GADGET GUY.

OUTSTANDING products for mounting various electronics on a motor cycle. The "workpersonship" is really the best I have seen. In combination with Garmin GPS mounts and Gadget Guy Base Plate Assemblies you can mount just about any small electronic device.

I have a GARMIN QUEST II mounted on my PAUL SMART with a PAK BIKES designed mounting bar. Then I have the Gadget Guy Base Plate II that mounts to the Garmin motorcycle mount for the Quest II GPS. The Quest II is waterproof to 1 meter. 

Bottom line on a GPS used on a Motor Cycle. You are not going to navigate with one of these units unless you have the navigation instructions coming to you via audio, TTS (Text To Speech). My Quest II has TTS which is connected to my mini-ear-plug-headphones.

I have an ESCORT PASSPORT 8500 Radar Detector with a H.A.R.D. SYSTEM, both from RADARBUSTERS These are mounted on a Gadget Guy Base Plate I in combination with a Gadget Guy Base Plate III and a Garmin Automotive Mounting Adapter for GPSMAP 176/176C also from The Gadget Guy. The Garmin Automotive Mounting Adapter makes for easy of removal and installation of the Radar Detector.

The Gadget Guy (Genna) is GREAT to work with and answered all my questions and made some very helpful suggestions.

THE IMAGE BELOW IS OF AN OLDER VERSION OF A RADAR DETECTOR MOUNTING SYSTEM AND

H.A.R.D. SYSTEM is located in the small box attached to the Cockpit Mount gimbal plate. This box wires up between the +12VDC supply and the radar detector. This devices sends a signal to the H.A.R.D. remote sensor/indicator that you install in your helmet.
Heads up display. Very cool and it does work!
